A lazy day with a beautiful evening ride and sunset

We took full advantage of our time today. Slept in. Coffee on the porch by the river. Chatting with the neighbors. Gin rummy. Leisurely lunch. Unload the motorcycle. Identify cloud shapes. Steak on the a fire over our fire pit with hickory logs left over from Bob’s last ribs smoked at our old house. The weather’s been lovely and we thought we’d try a short evening ride despite the fact that my replacement footboard won’t be in to the dealer until tomorrow. I have long legs, so we came up with two options – I could put my foot on the saddlebag guard or on the back of Bob’s footboard:

I’m sure glad I won’t be riding that way much longer. The ride was short (about 40 minutes) but absolutely the perfect time of day and GORGEOUS!

As if that gift wasn’t enough, we were also treated to a gorgeous sunset back home.

Count us happy, blessed and retired! We hope your day was equally wonderful.
