Airboat and Gators

Today, we did as everyone should when they visit the Everglades…we went for an air boat ride. It was really fun!  We went to Everglades Alligator Farm, which is only a 10 minute drive away. They have a TON of gators!

We walked around the nature trail that surrounded their breeding pond to see crocodiles from around the world, smaller gators, and even a tortoise. It was a cool walk and the sheer size and number of gators was pretty amazing.

Doesn’t this one seem to be smiling?

The airboat ride was short, but fun. You can check out the video here:

We did three 360 degree turns on our ride and also went through a slow channel with wild birds and gators. Seeing them in their natural habitat was cool.

While we were there, we also watched a gator handling demonstration and feeding.  Travis made them both fun and interesting.
